Self-supporting chimneys: brief description and main features
Industrial smoke structure are designed to remove flue gases and exhaust gases from boilers. In this case several horizontal flues can be attached to one vertical shafts.
Self-supporting chimneys are single-barreled metal structures with internal insulated gas flues. They can move freely during thermal expansion.
Essential elements:
Chimney base: plinth part on the foundation made of steel sheets
Venting path: steel pipe connected to the base by stiffeners.
The carrier part is connected to anchor basket in the base of the pipe. For the arrangement of the outer shell sections made of of sheeted steel and sealed with flange connection are mounted.
Lower details of the construction have specific stiffeners. They are attached to the foundation with anchor bolts. Insulation can increase the temperature of the “dew point”, making it possible to reduce the thickness of the barrel wall.
The type of steel for manufacturing of internal abductor trunks is chosen depending on the degree of aggressiveness of the gases and their temperatures. To prevent the formation of condensation, external insulation of mineral wool slabs flues is performed.
Installation and removal of the chimney is quite simple, as it is a separate independent structure. Its task is to ensure the optimal operation of the boiler, while maintaining a high pressure and a good speed of the gas.
Careful design and competent production reduce metal corrosion rate and extend the life of a self-supporting chimney.

Self-supporting chimneys can be equipped with a light system, platforms for maintenance, staircases to access the devices.
LLC “Riello Service” produces chimneys and also by customers’ designs. We guarantee the accordance with regulations and technical documentation of the industry of all our chimneys. All works of the factory are licensed.
Safety of chimneys: height and stability of structures
The higher the pipe string, the greater is the wind load that pressures them and affects their stability. To reduce the vibrations, emerging producers are forced to increase the diameter of the pipe. But this requires substantial additional costs.
We suggest using special hydraulic shock absorbers. By installing them in the upper part of the chimney, we achieve the desired amount of bearing capacity without undesirably increasing the diameter.
Spoilers make our tower chimneys unique and significantly reduce their material consumption and price of the finished product.
